Participating in Behavioral Research at MIT
If you are 18 or older, live in the United States, and can understand spoken and written English without difficulty, you are eligible to join the BRL participant pool. You do not have to be associated with MIT to become a participant.
The BRL hosts its in-person and online study sign-ups on Sona Systems. Before signing up for studies on Sona, you will be able to read a short description of what each study entails. Common types of activities include filling out questionnaires, playing games, performing various tasks on a computer, completing group assignments, and taking part in discussions or interviews. These activities may take place online or in person.

The BRL is located at 400 Main Street (MIT Building E19), Suite 435, Cambridge, MA 02142.
Public Transportation Located in Kendall Square, the BRL is accessible by subway and by bus. Take the Red Line subway or the 64, 68, 85, or CT2 bus to Kendall/MIT Station, then walk along Main Street toward the west (in the direction of The Kendall Hotel) for about two minutes.
Driving & Parking Research participants are encouraged to use public transportation whenever possible. If you choose to drive to our lab, you may set 400 Main Street, Cambridge, MA 02142 as the destination in your navigation system. Nearby parking spots include metered spaces on Main Street, Ames Street, and Amherst Street, as well as paid parking at the Kendall Center Yellow Garage and the Kendall Center Green Garage.
