MBA Early is our deferred admissions option designed for ambitious and forward-thinking students who want to secure a seat in a future MIT Sloan MBA class. Apply now, and then work for two to five years, gaining critical professional experience. We'll save you a seat in our MBA class when you're ready to come back to campus for your degree.

Once you're admitted, you're expected to seek full-time work experience for two to five years before joining the program.

Eligibility

The MBA Early Admission application process is open to all applicants who fit within the requirements listed below. If you have any questions about eligibility, you may email us at earlymbaadmissions.mitsloan@mit.edu for more guidance.

Undergraduate students who:

Are in their final year of undergraduate studies; and
Graduate between August 2024 and September 2025; and
Will not enroll in an MD, JD, or PhD program immediately after completing an undergraduate program; and
Have not had any prior full-time work experience except for internships or co-op experiences

Graduate students who :

Are in their final year of a graduate program; and
Graduate between August 2024 and September 2025; and
Started graduate school immediately after obtaining their undergraduate degree; and
Have not had any prior full-time work experience except for internships or co-op experiences; or
Are currently enrolled in their final semester of either the MIT Sloan MFin or MBAn program

Those who are not eligible for the MBA Early Admission are encouraged to apply to the traditional MBA program in the year they wish to matriculate.

Application Deadlines for 2025 Entry

The Admissions Committee reviews all applications and will notify applicants of their decision on or before the deadline. Please note that in the interest of confidentiality, we will only deliver official decisions via your online application.

Application Deadline	April 18, 2025
Decision Released	June 13, 2025

All applications are due by 3:00 p.m. EST on the deadline date. The deadline is for both application materials and recommendation letters. All decisions will be released by the end of the day on the decision release day.
