MIT Sloan Affinity Clubs
MIT Sloan offers a wide range of student clubs catering to various interests and affinity groups. These clubs aim to foster a supportive community while tackling important business subjects relevant to global regions, women, and underrepresented populations. By leveraging the vibrant atmosphere of Cambridge and Boston, combined with the engaging activities organized by the broader MIT community, students benefit from a diverse and enriching educational experience. Below, we provide a brief overview of some of our diverse clubs.
Black Business Students Association
The MIT Sloan Black Business Students Association (BBSA) builds a community that supports the personal and professional goals of black students. The BBSA promotes business issues related to the black community, collaborates with groups across MIT and Greater Boston, and works to build alliances with people and organizations that value cultural diversity.
First Gen College Grad / Low-Income Club
The FLI Club empowers students with a first-generation college graduate, low-income (FLI) identity, offering MIT and Sloan resources, mentorship, networking, and a supportive community. Advocates affordable activities and highlights FLI students' unique value. All FLI self-identifying students and allies are welcome.
Hispanic Business Club
The Hispanic Business Club (HBC) increases interaction with alumni, undergraduates, and students in other graduate programs at MIT. The club fosters professional and personal development and encourages leadership, both within MIT Sloan and in the greater Hispanic community.
Sloan Pride Club
The Sloan Pride Club organizes events open to the entire MIT Sloan community and fosters inclusion and support. Lesbians, gays, bisexual, and transgender individuals are welcome here at MIT Sloan. Please feel free to reach out to the club officers through their website.
Sloan Women in Management
The MIT Sloan Women in Management (SWIM) is a club at MIT Sloan that aims to support and empower women to succeed academically, socially, and professionally. SWIM is open to all MIT Sloan students and strives to create an environment where women can challenge convention, push boundaries, break barriers, and inspire innovation to shape their future.
Veterans Club
The MIT Sloan Veterans Club welcomes veterans of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces as well as veterans of foreign militaries. Building on the strong foundation of leadership that veterans develop in the military, the MIT Sloan VA helps veterans reach new heights in their careers.
